Rev. Dr. Mark R. Jordan Lead Pastor, New Horizon UMC, Champaign, IL Mark has been serving as Lead Pastor of New Horizon UMC since July, 2010. Mark was not raised in a Christian home, and came to Christ at age 18. Mark was an engineer for 8 years after college, and served actively in several churches, including a host of short-term mission trips and outreaches. Upon sensing a call to pastoral ministry, Mark completed his MDiv at Emory University in Atlanta, and later received his DMin from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Mark has served several of the largest churches in our Conference. Mark is committed to discipling others in Christ, and thrives on creative and innovative approaches to ministry. Mark and his wife Denise have four grown children, including a son who is ordained Anglican. Mark and Denise were blessed with their first two grandchildren in the summer of 2011—two beautiful little girls. Mark is an avid musician who loves to lead worship, and has recently been playing internationally with the Sanctuary Worship Band.
